Monaco

Hello again!

I visited Monaco couple of years ago and I had such a great time! Monaco is the second smallest country in the world with only 200 hectares, but it has a something to offer to everyone. Because it is so small, it is a good one-day trip and in that one day you could see some of the main sights or you could just walk through the entire country! It is a pretty expensive place as well, even though the locals do not pay any taxes, but it is better for a tourist to stay either in Nice or Cannes (I prefer Nice, but I will talk about that in another post). There are some things you must see when you go to Monaco - first, and one of my favourite spots is the Oceanographic Museum which is museum of marine sciences and also a part of the Oceanographic Institute that shares the knowledge of oceans. The museum has one of the world's biggest marine exhibits and it displays the work of Prince Albert I. It is a great place to spend some hours exploring and their exhibits are amazing. From there you could walk to the Prince's Palace of Monaco and definitely see the Monte Carlo Casino. Later at night I suggest to sit down in of of many cafes close to the Casino and just look at the people, because it is a place where wealthy people come and show off - they do the roundabout with their Ferrari's and Lamborghini's and shop for luxury items. I also had the time to go to the Jardin Exotique de Monaco that is a beautiful botanical garden on top of the hill and has some amazing views on the city (or country I must say) as seen on my pictures. If you have more time to spend in Monaco there are more museums to visit such as Napoleon museum or the New National Museum of Monaco.

This post turned up to be a bit short, but I will talk about Côte d'Azur later that is next to Monaco and where tourist tend to go more, because Monaco is so small it can get very crowded especially the beaches. I will offer more information about Nice and Cannes, but if you have any questions about Monaco, let me know!
